There is an Eye in the Sky

Ésta no es una escena de la película de El Señor de los Anillos. Se trata de una fotografía real tomada por el Telescopio Hubble en 2005. Y no sé por qué, pero pone los pelos de punta.

La imagen muesta a la estrella más brillante de la constelación Piscis Austrinus: Formalhaut. Es una estrella relativamente joven rodeada por una nube de polvo protoplanetaria, similar a como se debe haber visto nuestro sistema solar hace unos 4,500 millones de años. Aunque, si no tienen la conciencia tranquila, bien podría ser un ojo castigador que los está observando detenidamente desde el cielo. Y todo lo ve. ¿Me estás oyendo, inútil?
